More than 37 years ago, Doug Douglas’s father began farming the land as a Pick Your Own soft fruit farm. What started with seasonal harvests and local families filling punnets soon became something bigger: a place where people came not just to buy produce, but to spend time together outdoors.
As the years went on, the Douglas family continued to evolve the site in step with what visitors wanted. The farm gradually grew into a country park and then into what it is today: Avon Valley Adventure Park, a family day out built around play, animals, and memorable seasonal experiences.
Today, Avon Valley is still family owned and run by Doug and Hannah Douglas. Together, they lead the park’s long term vision: investing back into the site, improving the guest experience year after year, and creating extraordinary events that guests return to.
That same family approach shapes everything Avon Valley does, from the warm welcome at the gate, to the care given to the animals, to the attention to detail in every event plan. It’s also why so many of our guests tell us they’ve been visiting for years, and now bring their own children to make new memories.
From fruit farm to adventure park, the heart of Avon Valley has stayed the same: a family run place where families come to have fun.
