Event FAQs

How long will the event last?

Each session lasts for 90 minutes. This includes time to complete your Safety Briefing, with around 60 minutes of time to participate on the Tartan Titan.

It is very important that all participants arrive on time for their session. All participants must attend the Safety Briefing and if they are unable to do so we cannot guarantee admission.

Why do adults need tickets & what’s the ratio?

Due to Health and Safety requirements stipulated by our insurance company all children under 18 are required to be supervised by an adult. They need to be on the course with them so they can be on hand on the trickier sections. 1 adult can supervise up to 4 children.

Do I need a ticket to watch my family/friends?

No you are welcome to come into the site and enjoy the food and drink outlets while watching your friends and family free of charge.

Do I need to be fit to take part?

Everyone has different abilities and levels of fitness and you must not go beyond your personal limits. The Tartan Titan is designed to be a fun experience for all, however, there are many obstacles and challenges that do require a degree of energy, stamina and agility. However, you can go at your own pace and challenges can be avoided if you do not want to do them.

The challenge is not recommended for anyone with medical conditions such as: heart problems, breathing difficulties/conditions, back, neck, joint, knee and ankle issues – either current or pre-existing, any fractures or broken bones or if you have any other pre-existing medical conditions could be aggravated, or anyone who is or is possibly pregnant, which contains a health disclaimer.

By booking you are deeming yourself as being fit to take part and assume the risks of doing so. Everyone takes part at their own risk and although following the strict Rules of Play minimises these risks, the risks cannot be completely eliminated.

I don’t have my ticket confirmation, what should I do?

You should have received an email confirmation directly after booking with your ticket information. If you have not received this, have a look in your junk email folder. If you’re still having difficulties, email Helpdesk@avonvalley.co.uk listing the date you booked, the name and email address you used to book and a contact telephone number.

What is I have missed my time slot or running late?

We will try our best to get you in on the next available safety briefing slot and activity on the day but if other time slots are full we will be unable to do this.

Will the event go ahead in bad weather?

Please note if it’s raining the event will still go ahead. This is an outdoor, all-weather event.

We would only cancel the event if the weather is deemed unsafe due to high winds or extreme conditions, this being the case we would offer the opportunity for a date change, vouchers for an other Avon Valley event or a full refund excluding event booking/ticketing fees. We will not be able to issue refunds if you choose not to attend and the event is still going ahead. See below if the event has been cancelled.

What happens if my event is cancelled?

Avon Valley will only cancel an event if it is deemed unsafe to attendees, for example, in high winds. An email will be sent to the email address used to book the tickets.
