Breast cancer effects around 55,200 people every year, and donating your unwanted bra to your local ‘Bra Bank’, located at Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park could help towards vital funds for research towards a cure.
Once filled, Avon Valley’s ‘Bra Bank’, run by charity ‘Against Breast Cancer’, will be sent to a local recycling partner who sends them onto developing countries such as Togo, Ghana and Keyna where bras are too expensive to produce locally. This means your bras will continue to help way past your original donation.
For every tonne of bras collected, ‘Against Breast Cancer’ receives £700 to fund their research.
So don’t bin your bra at home, bring and bin at Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park.
